Senator Rand Paul joins the lads to lament the big, beautiful bill; the big beautiful Soviet military parade; the Twitter halfwits waging war on him; his party’s descent into populist voodoo economics; whether or not he’s an advocate of “open borders”; and what he makes of Marines on the streets of Los Angeles.
As others have pointed out, the O variant is common. I think I had an English teacher who was very adamant about A. (Which is why I tend to say that, myself. She was also very focused on “finished” instead of “done.”)
I think technically it’s supposed to be champing but we’ve bastardized it to chomping at this point and it just sounds weird and “well ackshully” if you say champing.
Rand Paul and I were cool until he started going on and on about his wet dream gain of function research fantasy where Ebola and the flu get it on to make bioterror babies and he and RFK Jr talked dirty and gave each other handies during the senate appropriations hearing and I wanted to throttle him. (In a figurative way! Please Feds don’t come at me bro).
It’s like what Sen Paul is saying about deporting people who are not part of the criminal element that the critique will get worse… he appears to be right with the chart George T posted in the general chat. KMW is also right about how the “market” spoke and influenced Trump’s actions with Tariffs and now that Trump said changes are coming to immigration enforcement because of employment concerns… populism. 😑
There's no way Moynihan makes it through this without a joke about the punch
What a great episode. Thanks for having Rand Paul on. Congrats to the middle school graduate too
Regarding the segment at the end of the show, it’s insane that now property damage is NOT violence, but silence IS violence.
"the rise of the knuckleheads" is what my dad would name a podcast.
Let’s goooooooo
I was expecting a Beach Boys Tribute episode from Matt.
Might yet happen....
Cassingle territory
Goddamnit, I can't keep missing work for The Fifth Column!
Dropped to my knees when i got the notification
EDIT: "Boise at best"? Really, Matt????
Been champing at the bit for a new episode!
I’m not asking to correct, but is it not Chomping?
I have been Mandela’d before so I’m just trying to ground myself here. 😂
I thought it was chomping too, until someone poisoned my brain with this:
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/champing%20at%20the%20bit
Just looked up "Champing" in my computer's dictionaly and came up with:
----
champ
verb
another term for chomp.
ORIGIN: late Middle English: probably imitative.
-----
So, you're BOTH right!
As others have pointed out, the O variant is common. I think I had an English teacher who was very adamant about A. (Which is why I tend to say that, myself. She was also very focused on “finished” instead of “done.”)
It's chomping. Horses have bits in their mouths and then chomp on them when they are anxious to run.
Merriam-Webster says both are allowed. Recently I learned early Anti-Communist posters used “Stamp” rather than “Stomp” out the red threat/Communism.
I’m just happy I’m not a victim of the Mandela Effect. 😂
I think technically it’s supposed to be champing but we’ve bastardized it to chomping at this point and it just sounds weird and “well ackshully” if you say champing.
Oh FUCK! Not sure I’ve clicked a notification quicker.

Charisma, or as Welch says "ker-asthma" (52:02).
Great episode. Thought Paul was good as was the post conversation debrief by the boys.
Knuckleballs > knuckleheads

This should be fun
