Thank you for having him on! I enjoyed his calm, steady logic coupled with experience as a soldier and a professor. I had read his article written in response to the NYT op-ed by a scholar who had declared Gaza a genocide. I also enjoy that you ask him challenging questions. It's almost like real journalism: who knew!
what an awesome guest I'm going to have to check out his podcast, as a vet myself I really appreciated John's precision of words and nuanced explanations for very complicated topics and it wasn't just entertaining but I learned some things I hadn't known as well!
My leadership knew it was going to be at least 6 months. The Marine Corps stop lost’d people to stabilize the retrograde. We even shipped our equipment home. It sounds like the Army was terrible at planning. Hell, I have other gripes about the Army in Iraq… but I’m not surprised they only thought 90 days.
Let’s not forget about Jessica Lynch. They found her rifle still with packaging grease and full of dust so badly that they couldn’t rack the bolt back to clear it…
A+ for the title of this episode
I came here to say this
Me too!

The guest is fantastic but he sounds like Mitch Hedberg and I keep waiting for him to do surreal witty one liners
“I haven’t slept for ten years… because that would be just tooooo lonnnng.”
I came here to say this and I’m so glad someone beat me to it
I lurves him.
John "Concrete" Spencer is finally here
I think it’s interesting to note the difference between guerilla warfare, urban warfare, and what hamas is doing .
