Thank you so much for the shout out of my interview with Louis! And thank you for making me very grateful I’m not on Blooski!

I see over and over again, on social media and culture in general, that people under a certain age are incredibly ignorant of history and collectivism. It’s Why there’s a rise in interest among younger people in socialism/communism and why they fanboy caterpillar eyebrows murdering Brian Thompson. They’re ignorant of just how terrible communism is and how awful political violence is.

The United States, and most the western world, is the easiest and most comfortable life that human beings have ever lived in history, but young people want to LARP like things are difficult.

Also, why they think political violence will go well for them.

I don’t know how Moynihan can talk to Batya so frequently. She would drive me nuts. Just the way she was describing in certain terms the assassin’s healthcare experience and therefore society as a while was complete conjecture.

💯💯💯

She was completely wrong about the outcome of the murderers surgery! And yet, completely confident in her conjecture.

A suggestion for your instrumental Xmas jazz rotation - how about including some of those pieces that aren't explcitly Xmas songs but my heck do they stimulate ye olde yuletide spirit - par examplar - Strange Meadowlark by Dave Brubeck. In fact I would just throw on the whole of Time Out - it was released just before Xmas of 1959 (14th Dec) and is really just an Xmas album disguised as a "cool jazz" record with odd time signatures

Those Luigi polls are dire but somewhat unsurprising. Bathe your young (and in many such cases old) underdeveloped mind in the miasma that is TikTok/Social Medias and see the world almost exclusively through its red lenses and this is what you get. In a sense TikTok has created a strange new proximity to political violence that involves no real experience of it's fallout, which makes a lot of the under-45s increasingly innure and seduced by it. We will see more and not less going forward I fear until the lessons of the 20th century are re-learned by a cohort who should know better.

Growing up in Australia, the Blue Sky Mine was known for corporate greed. Midnight Oil wrote a song about it so I keep giggling when I see people claiming Blue Sky is a place for liberal thought:

“The song is actually about a real situation, the Wittenoom blue asbestos mine in Western Australia, whose workers' chronic overexposure to lethal substances from the 1940s to the 1960s has led to thousands of cases of mesothelioma and lung cancer in the subsequent years”

Here’s the song clip:

I think I speak for all of Gen X when I say if we had known back in the day who would grow up and get to hang out with our favorite MTV dream girl, more of us might have gone into libertarian adjacent media criticism podcasting.

Moynihan had me at "Comrade Gorka". I can't say I disagree with 100% of what comes out of Seb's mouth, but what a singularly odious character he shows to the world.

Does anyone else view those Perpetually-in-a-State-of-Crisis-Trans-Activists as the left’s cringe baggage version of the right's (albeit fading) Qanon-Alex-Jones-Truthers? What’s happening to Jesse Singal is truly horrifying and, for me, it gives off echoes of the nutcases on the right who believed the Sandy Hook was a PsyOp stuff and began harassing the victim families. I wonder if Jesse can take some legal action to try and stop this?

In March 2020 Brian Thompson helped distribute $135 billion in federal funds to health providers within a week. https://x.com/ddiamond/status/1868307046455751159

And before people say "Holy shit how did those bastards have $135 billion lying around", they didn't. The government had the $135 billion (they've got the printers) but had no way of getting money to healthcare providers directly within a short time frame. Brian Thompson had the expertise and capability to move the money immediately to the right people and keep track of it sufficiently to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

Is it just me, or did Comrade Gorka come across halfway decently in that interview? I’d be curious to hear Hollywood’s post interview take on that.

Its outrageous what’s happening to Jesse Singal. He even posted last week the Lizzo had gotten in on the act of trying to cancel him.

There was another lil bit of that same poll that showed less approval of the murder itself (I think the question was, "was it justified?")

I was wondering how to explain that discrepancy. You like the guy you only know from being a murderer, but, you know, obviously the murder itself is wrong?
