I just gotta say I went to see Eddington on Moynihan's recommendation and I could not have been more impressed. I really hope the guys talk about it in a spoilers-friendly way maybe on a Members Only, because there's so much I want to hear their takes on. Particularly the zoomer dude and his interesting development, but also the sheriff and the mayor; the mayor was way more interesting than I thought he'd be from the trailer, I had way more sympathy for him than I figured I would going in. I had to binge every interview of Ari Aster I could find just because I couldn't stop thinking about that movie and how insane and amazing it is.
Also, just cause it's funny: I saw the movie in an almost entirely empty theater, just me and one other guy who I didn't know. When the movie ended I just sat in stunned silence for a couple of minutes, and when I got up to leave the other guy intercepted me and I was really glad because we both just needed to talk about how insane what we just watched was. This isn't Ari Aster's craziest movie--I think that title goes to Beau is Afraid--but I think it's his best, and one of the best I've seen in years. Sorry Kmele but it's a better western than even Tombstone (which I also love)!
The Nanny State has decided that "Ted Fucking Williams" is age-restricted and can "only be viewed on YouTube.com". I'm so glad I was protected from that. What the fuck would I have done if I had read the word "fucking" in a video title without proper preparation to emotionally gird my loins? Thank you youtube, thank you. Lord knows that the children won't ever encounter that word on the internet anywhere.
Can we now officially ignore everything that taibi propagates? I struggled with him and taking him seriously after the Twitter files come up but this obama treason shit is just stupid.
Ari Aster seems like the David Lynch of our times. Both brilliant artists with a different vision. A true filmmaker captures images we may or may not want to see or imagine, yet we are compelled to watch.
Even though Micheal and Ari spoke on different planes at times, it is still the best interview I have seen. A rare encounter of a true journalist and a true artist.
I just had the same, but it was my thumb, they used surgical glue and I almost passed out from the pain. I wanted to ask for a stick to stick between my teeth like the middle-ages. Modern medicine is a miracle? I am Ron Burgendy?

I will also say @Arch I unironically appreciate your trigger warnings, as well as get a good laugh out of them
Definitely thought the unwholesome reference was going to point to a certain couple Phillies fans at Yankee stadium this weekend
If it bleeds, we can kill it.

The interview MM has with the director is pretty interesting.
