I’d have gone with New York Groove live under the Brooklyn Bridge but either way, what a fucking banger. Anytime I’m in the city for after a hiatus that song rings through my head. To quote Weezer “I’ve got Ace Frehley, I’ve got Peter Criss waiting there for me yes I do”

The two best games played by a single player I’ve ever watched on tv were Ohtani. Last year his 50/50 game where he went 6/6 with three dingers and 10 rbi and a few swipes only to be outdone by something nobody will ever see again…or won’t happen for another 140 years, if history is our guide. God bless baseball. And God bless our armed forces bringing the game to Japan during the second Great War. America, fuck yeah.

Really like Matt making a connection between the protests and our founding fathers in the years leading up to ‘76.

The Jake Adelstein show featured the coldest cold open I’ve ever heard. I hadn’t heard of him previously, but now I’m interested in reading his books.

And the was why I was why I was waffling a bit on the Bojangles biscuits. Obviously, as a Georgia girl, they’ve taken Waffles to the House. But, as far as biscuits go, Hardee’s always best for me. I will say that fresh Popeyes biscuits were the only thing that made ATL a somewhat-bearable stopover. The smoking booths were an interesting thing…..

Reluctant h/t to Chicago for the in-terminal Cinnabon.

(The new terminal in NOLA has a Cafe du Momd inside the terminal. Get on the plane with a piping hot cafe au lait, and a bag of beignets….and proceed to cover yourself and the cabin with powdered sugar in flight….)

Yep. But this was with stuff bought, now…..all after security.

So my coffee was there to overpower the stench coming from the back of the plane.
