When I visited Canada last year I went to Kingston. Nice little place, did a bike tour where I was the only person.
Anyways we go through the college, Queens University and the guide is telling me the college bought all this land some years ago including these old buildings that were no longer in use. College wanted to convert them to dorms.
Historic preservation showed up and went to court to prevent them from doing so. Now those buildings are just sitting there. Wasteful. Ben’s story reminded me of that.
Mamdani is a socialist with so large a campaign staff that they themselves represent a sizable voting bloc. Hopefully Ackman and Asness can overcome it with tweets.

I know it's good for the show to go on other shows like Real Time but as of late I am not sure why this one anymore. Whenever anyone like a Walter Kirn or a Moynihan are on they are interrupted, cut off dismissed as "Silly" while whomever the other guest is can blather on and on. Perfect example this last week that Steele fella was just let go and went on and on with his MSNBC style nonsense over an over (not sure who the other guest was but She was full of equally horrible talking points). The. 3rd guest was interesting simply because I am not that familiar with him and it's good to hear from people I hear about in passing but know little about. Lets hope whomever of you 3 is on this week they don't stick you with a female D party type, you might as well stay home, you will get just as much wording in. But the Bev Hills Hotel is a nice get (Polo Lounge Steak Tartare is the best you will have and the Chocolate Souffle' and Cremebrullee are perfection... ) Many years ago a friend of mine went t a dismal Breeders show at El Rey and stopped by Polo Lounge after, it was fill empty, Grace Jones was there and got up and started singing Bachrach songs with the piano player.
I don't really care about the East Wing thing, but I admit to a double standard: I will be annoyed if the next Democratic President starts a commission to consider starting an investigation into determining a fair process to start re-demolishing it and replacing it with a modernist architectural monstrosity of the style only progressives can pretend to love.
