Agreed. Only news outlet I watch almost daily. Other programs are ok too on the platform. Except that woman with the weird forehead, her set that looks like an old diner. She freaks me out.
I hope it goes without saying, but if The Fifth Column was one of the options, it'd be at the very top for me. You guys didn't quite save my life, but you certainly held out a stanky booze drenched hand of support to me and many others during the awful last almost decade. Thank you for the sanity keeping!
Thanks for taking the time to compile this! I'll recommend NR's Morning Jolt newsletter. Obviously leans right/center-right, but Jim Geraghty (and others) do a great job of breaking down current events in a clear and concise way. Dominic Pino's Tuesday write up about the recently passed Fred (not Sonic) Smith of FedEx was a fascinating mini tribute.
Wait, nobody said Mike Pesca and The Gist??? So consistently logical and fact-based while being entertaining (although yes the puns can be groan-inducing, I'm here for them). I often look forward to hearing his take on an issue because I know it will include something I didn't consider.
I recently discovered Getting Hammered, and I really love the rhythm of the show and the way they open with light, personal banter (toddler mischief and college reunions, for example) before getting into the serious stuff. It strikes a perfect balance.
Didnt vote but 5th and Smerconish on POTUS on would have very high overlap in terms of viewpoints. Smerc also help rehabilitate Halperin. Still a weekly guest on the show.
I'm finding it difficult to stomach the news these days, but I do like what's happening over at 2way. Halperin is pretty solid.
It has become quite difficult to navigate and spend the time to tease out facts without spending hours and hours I don't have just to see a glint of what might be true surface.
Didn’t vote originally, but I’ve been nothing but impressed with 2way, specifically Halperin AM & PM show for news

I second that. Here’s to the fellas!🍻

I have an easy way to bypass media bias. I trust everything I read or hear. And then I completely distrust my own thinking.

I’ve really been enjoying the Mo News program lately as well!

Unbelievable!! In so few words, a respectful nod followed by an insult haha

All of my go-tos are covered here except the indispensable News Items Substack by John Ellis. It’s a must read every day
Exclamation! I inadvertently signed up for his *other* newsletter Political Items, which is only published 2x month....<sigh>
Yeah and he always shares it with News Items subscribers anyway
Right! I caught on quickly…ish
It me!
Damn how did I miss this?

Glad we're all pretty much on the SAME PAGE (pun intended).
Also, please tell Moynihan to stop doing the Elon/Milton Friedman/PoliSci undergrad riff on every single podcast he's on. We get it!
