You ever consider rebranding as the Fifth Column Conference? Kmele’s attendance rate would improve and you could plausibly claim employment at the FCC.

Fun fact: Political Beats Springsteen Pt.1 is more than three hours long. Springsteen 2 is almost four hours long! Embarrassing fact: I love Springsteen.

Can’t wait to listen to the debate with Kmele once it airs! P.s. was lucky enough to meet amazing fifdom comrades in person for the first time this week (and amazingly Matt + Nancy as well!) what a gracious, kind group of people. Thanks all for the super fun night 🤍

Isn't this the same view from the house in the opening scene of No Time To Die?! 😂 Money on Matt having a weird doll face mask hiding in there somewhere

I am so confused by that window.

Yes, yes, and yes, but primarily, that the bottom one is flush with the floor. Repurposed doggie door?

Reading the Stirewalt book now! Thanks for that and also thanks to Michael for the tip on the WWII podcast. The only woman walking through Whole Foods laughing at a discussion on tanks during D Day!

"where I would smilingly appear tomorrow if asked" Matt what happened? Haven't watched Kennedy's show in a few years but when I did you were a regular!

I don’t know what everyone is talking about in the comments and am too afraid to ask.

Also, I’m glad I wasn’t required to write a 250 page dissertation to graduate from college. Were the pages meant to be dark or is it just my phone doing weird things?

That Beck song sounds similar to Stay by Rihanna.

Asked my husband if we could listen to Political Beats together while he watched me roll out pasta for my birthday dinner (he refuses to be in the audio presence of my pods). He refused after he realized it was an NRO product, and that bums me out so much. He’s so passionate about music, knows a lot more than I do, and our shared tastes is a big part of our relationship. I know we are very different people, temperamentally & otherwise, but I don’t think he’d have been so stubbornly incurious in 2015, when we got married. (This is 2000% Trump’s fault.)

Tell him there is just really no politics in any of it, and to stop being a weenie!

I did!! No dice.

Start drugging him back into curiosity.

Only half-kidding.

Don’t tell him who is participating in what you are listening too. If necessary lie about the branding. One should never judge a book by it’s cover. Then dissolve 0.25 mg of a xanax in whatever he is drinking. See if he relaxes into who he was pre Trump.

It’s worth a shot. It suck’s watching one’s spouse get lodged in such a negative place. These days everyone needs Pharma assistance for something. For you it may help you start to regain the man you married.

If he can’t be wooed by Charles CW Cook’s hypnotic British diatribes there’s literally no hope for him.

Anyway, to the gal who bought my early 2k Civic and whoever bought it off of her, you’re welcome for the jammed CD of early/obscure Whiskeytown and Old ‘97s tunes. Such compilations were a mysterious art form perfected by people born between 1972 and 1989. You will never see the likes of it again.

Matt, I have an idea for a great guest for the pod- Colin who plays music at the olive tree. You’re welcome.

Banjo needs repair (or tossing), as does nearby mandolin & violin. Keyboard is usable if clunky!
