Any post with a Henry Silva reference is top notch in my book.... That "Yell" when He blows Her face off through the door in the much underrated excellence that is "Sharky's Machine" is genius. He and late great Joe Spinell are so overlooked... "You gunna break my chops?"
I’m a fan of those 60s/70s Italian exploitation films often collectively known as “Giallo” or, if it’s more of a cops ’n’ robbers crime flick then “Poliziotteschi.” Henry Silva was in many of those and my personal fave is one called "Cry of a Prostitute” from 1974. It is one of those films that would never get made today, even as an indie, given its unrelenting glorification of the bad guys doing bad things. I won’t describe what Silva’s character does here, except to hint that one such scene involves a reluctant woman and a pig carcass — let your imagination take it from there. It’s genuinely compelling and well made. I try to see them all even though I expect them to almost always disappoint, but Cry of a Prostitute was one of the few that checked all the salacious and sordid boxes. Recommend!

In this modern age ("men on the moon!" sorry I always turn into the old man in the tunnel in Clockwork Orange when I say that) we streamed the great Sharkys Machine and it all came back to me , how My yet undeveloped 13-14 year old brain seeing the introduction of Rachel Ward shot from below with the light outlining Her legs as Burt pretended to work on the elevator (yes they took me to "inappropiate films when I was young) made me fall madly in love with Her (And that voice, Good god She gave Bisset a run for Her money back then (No lie my now aged decaying brains fell in love all over again) but the best "Screaming" Silva was part of the excellent gun fight He has in the small hallway with Bernie Casey (Arch) where they just trade shots with each other before collapsing. Thats it I am done with "Spoilers".....
No offense to Billy Thermal (or Matt by extension by choosing so), but if one has two versions of a song, one by Linda Ronstadt and one not, one should always pick the one by Linda Ronstadt.
I’m shocked people still give a fuck about Donald Trump as if he’s even a person worth caring about at all. It’s kind of sad in a simping way. He’s an utterly worthless human being. Not even. Worthless. And I mean that in every sense of the word. He brings nothing to anything. Nothing would be worse if he never existed. Nothing. He’s mindless. He’s terribly dressed. He’s incoherent. He’s selfish. Utterly pointless. A shitty dad and a worse president.
