Hearing about little Solomon, on top of everything else, affected me and I didn't even known him. I can't even imagine dealing with that kind of loss. Take care of yourselves through all this.
Good God what terrible news, condolences to you and yours as well as their Family's. I cannot even image what Liz would be going through. I wonder if Mr Doherty ever attended any of our shows as We where around the LA scene in the mid 90's and we did attract some "Characters. (I don't like to name the band put we got served a Cease and Desist order from General Foods after a interview we did on the Al Goldstein show in NYC and had to change part of our name to "Jelly" after that...) and thats all I'ma gunna say 'bout that...
True and oddly enough Maynard is the voice behind the line you just wrote.... Adam was part of the stop action team behind the video (They would go on to do Sober. Prison Sex etc..) Glad you enjoyed it! (I believe the Brick was a Tri- Level Mansion, Hollywood Hills...Daddy's rock stardom paid for the bills) Ugh now thats stuck in my head...
I was a young congressional staff ass when Radicals for Capitalism came out. The free copies of Reason that appeared in our mail every month started me down my path to libertarianism but Brian’s writing really sucked me in. So when the book came out I bought one for me and one for my boss (a back bencher from SC) and just left it on his desk, then I would move it around the office in hopes someone other than me would read it. I’m sorry for your loss Matt and Reason.
I would love a piece about what it was like editing him, his ability to get weird was something to behold.
I had no idea that Liz Wolfe went through that. I knew there had been complications, but that's an incredibly sad shock. Same with the death of your pal. It's a rough week. Big love from the San Fernando Valley.
I had the privilege of spending some time with Brian during the 2008 Ron Paul and 2011 Gary Johnson short lived attempt to run as a Republican, and he was a fantastic, thoughtful, fun loving guy. Very sad to hear that he has passed.
A sad week made a little bit better by some loving tributes to Brian and King Sol. Thank you for the links to the musician obits that Brian wrote Matt, as a fellow music obsessive (there are way more than dozens of us here, way more than dozens!) I'll be reading them all in his honor
My god, I’m so sorry for Liz Wolfe. That’s so horrible. =(
And I’m sorry you lost your friend, Matt. That was touching, what you wrote… hugs from Berkeley. <3
Usually these firehose updates don’t make me cry like this.

So heartened to hear that some Fif fans attended and supported Liz and her husband in their time of need.
🙏

I was happy to see what I assumed to be Liz's new baby, only to be shocked to read the news. I'm so sorry...I wish ...I wish things were different.
Sincere condolences to all who knew of Solomon and Doherty. I will say prayers and think good thoughts for you all.
Beautiful words for your friend. May his memory be a blessing.
My heart breaks for Solomon’s family. He was obviously surrounded by love.

I grew up in San Jöse and remember passing around your cassette tapes =)
Hope you got one with the "O" and not the "Ÿ".
In falsetto: "Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!"
Had no idea some Tool Alums played in the band - Moynihan may not be a fan, but I sure am. Thanks for the smiles, and I hope you are well.
And safe...in your brick house (I presume!)

The band that confounded Space Ghost with their 100% stupidity? Amazing ❤️

It is a fine thing to have such a friend to celebrate your life through published writing, as you have done for Brian. Sail on, sailor indeed.
My heart breaks for the Wolfe family -- what a loss. Baby Solomon pray for us. Our Lady of Sorrows pray for us.
“Turbo Satan”?
Oh, and by the way Matt, your quick obit on Brian @reason was really good.
I’ll leave it to Moynihan to write the “actually, Brian was a douchebag.”
Too soon?
A rough week… 😭
I knew you were a guitar player, but didn't know you played bass too. I'm sorry for your loss.
Oh, I’m shitty on bass, but have a good enough ear to be barely adequate as an emergency fill-in.
