I thought this was going to be about the moon. Is everyone else not as fucking pumped as I am that WE ARE BACK at the moon? The pictures are bringing me as many tears as the sight of those broken *C-130s that gave their lives to save an American hero.

Honestly? My bad for not including it. I meant to!

Technically we aren’t landing on the moon the trip. 🤷‍♂️ maybe 2027?

I have my doubts when a $25 million dollar toilet starts to cause smoke smells in a confined space.

Four astronauts are currently seeing parts of the moon never seen before by human eyes. Embrace the wonder.

The story of the rescue will be one told for a very long time. It really is amazing.

Thanks for putting this together Matt! Always appreciate them.

Still waiting for the next NFC update on the new digs… 🫪😁❤️❤️

I would have been disappointed if Matt DIDN’T feature Jo Adell prominently.

OMG Matt this Ambrosia song, slow dance classic!! I haven't heard or thought of it in years and I never even knew who the artist was but as soon as I saw the title wow did it ever take me back (in much the same way seeing I'm Not Lisa on your playlist did a few years ago :-). Also I am not Billy Joel's #1 fan (that was my late sister) but I love this story, ty for sharing it❤️

I just wanted to point out that Sandy Koufax was married to Richard Widmark's daughter. Like every Jewish kid in the 60s I was temporarily a Dodger's fan. I saw him pitch against Chris Short at Connie Mack Stadium in 1964 (I think it was 64).

We’re being a little hasty assuming it’s politics that led that young men to call you a homosexual when you’ve been parading up and down the streets of New York Gosh Darn City in those stylish new shirts.

With Iran on the brain and how we could use a Rumsfeld or 2 to explain things, I think we can add to our “exquisite intelligence”:

Known libertarian.

Known homosexual.

Suspected and as of yet unindicted Grape Juice Baron.

Reminds me that I was enjoying the anniversary stream on the weekend and learning Thor was gay finally explained why a human rights activist doing a podcast was dressed up. I honestly assumed he was coming or going from the UN or a fundraiser. Of course I noticed his shirt had a designer style and fitting, as I presume we all did…

Anyways, as we say in Canada, water off of a Loon’s back! Peacocks were meant to display their trains and right wing guys were meant to accuse their opposition of homosexuality. He knew better than to call you a communist (but fuck that weirdo just the same!).

Count on the bassist to nod to Jaco Pastorius! In the early 2000s, when I was mostly busy learning which four frets to sit on for which Blink 182 song, a teacher told me to buy a $50 VHS of Jaco being interviewed by Jerry Jemmott. What a mind-opener.

Hey guys if you listen the podcast by the neocon (Dan senor) who was the the spokesperson for the Iraq war that said everything was awesome over there in 2003, you will see that the war in Iran is actually based!

Never mind about those millions that we said we were trying to save, what we should actually do is bomb them to oblivion..

I listened to this podcast and these assholes sit around talking about committing war crimes like it's a game of darts. Just unbelievable savagery from the "good guys" to think we can trust these neocon psychopaths ever again.. sheesh.

I do have a question about all the Belly Aching about the sudden appearance of "Ad's" on The Fifth, I pay for a subscription, this new addition to the platform of an Advert placed in the body of the show seems to really be pulling on a lot of groins around here. When the Ad starts I just "Click" the progress bar (Or if on phone the 30 sec FF button) and the ad is behind me and show continues. Is this a "Hard" thing to do? No, even when listening while hiking in the SoCal mountains behind my house or in the car it's a simple process (I dont listen while riding my motorcycles, that is music as I am paying attention to the road) . Are all of you groin pullers listening to the show while performing brain surgery, holding your twins, stuffing turkeys (or heaven forbid amputees) and cannot get to the FF button? Seems really odd to me, 2 Way or The Free Press etc.. have more Ads then a 70's detective show re-run on at 2am and one of those is pricier then The Fifth...

I owe most of my taste in music to any number of random roller skating rink disc jockeys in the 70's and 80's. It's time for a couple's skate. Cue Ambrosia. Holdin' on makes my heart ache a little to this day. Go see the legends while you still can.

The entire Anniversary show was a delight, Olivia as always and thankfully someone finally admits publicly that Combat Rock isn't very good (Straight To Hell and the Pop tune "Should I Stay... are fabulous) and Sandinista is majority tripe and could easily been a single LP. The could have released "Black Market Clash II" and put all that flop on a separate 12" instead. KIss's "Rock N' Roll Over" is leaps and bounds better than Rock The Casbah... Also one of my Fav Covers of a R&R LP.

Peter was great on the anniversary show. If he ended up in the Senate, I’d probably look at volunteering my crippled help.

But I’m surprised he didn’t have a story about avoiding wolves after escaping the lead-lined Ford coffin.
