Holy shit I thought “The H is O” was just a fever dream of mine from my youth because I haven’t been able to find it again after having described it to people over the years. Thank you for your service, Matt!

I remember that skit like it was yesterday. Such a classic skit

I mentioned it another thread, but my friends and I still quote lines from this skit. Watching it again recently, I love the plaintive, ever so slightly flat vocalizing of the "Hotel California" melody that comes in while they're hooking up.

Love this! Also, L7 in John Waters’s Serial Mom as Camel Lips: https://youtu.be/K3LRdB781zw?si=8cQcQ3zE1fOjMob6

The film Alex Cox made before Highway Patrolman was the anachronism filled Walker, about William Walker in Nicaragua, the only film to feature Ed Harris and Joe Strummer. It basically ended Cox's mainstream directed career, but he fronted the hugely influential British TV series Moviedrome, where he introduced screenings of cult films.

My boyfriend was pretty busted up about Jennifer Finch. He introduced me to them a few years ago and I was lucky enough to see her with L7 a few years ago.

If you haven't seen Pretend We're Dead, I highly recommend it to get a feel for what they were like "back in the day". It includes a mention of the episode that puts L7 in every list ever created of the grossest things that have ever happened in rock history.

They were the second band I ever saw live, opening for Offspring at the Hammerstein Ballroom in 1996. Such fun, 12 year old me didn't get the lesbian joke in the name but thought they rocked.

Heartily endorse watching EPIC. My 13 yr old son pulled it up and we watched it over a couple days. Very clever lyrics and a variety of animation styles. You’ll definitely find yourself humming the tunes for days after you watch.

Just getting word that the scenario for this L7 video was written by none other than ... Nancy Rommelmann!

Just providing a link to Brian’s post which is updating us on the Unofficial Dallas meetup. The moral of the post is “show interest in the hotel he got a discounted rate on for the event” or else Brian will have to file bankruptcy or maybe sell a kidney as he will be financially liable for them blocking off the rooms for everyone.

There's a couple classic skits from that era of SNL that almost lost to history. Like this one with Lucy Lawless playing Stevie Nicks. There's a couple 30second clips on YouTube. But I would love to see it again in full. Its absolutely hilarious.
